Zoomify

Some times the simple solutions are the best. Zoomify makes high-quality images zoom-and-pan for fast interactive viewing on the Web.

I am surprised that it is not seen more often. Here are a couple Flat non-360 cylindrical panoramas that I have "Zoomified."

Use the Mouse and the Control pad to Zoom in and Pan through the images.
